Lebenshilfe
für Behinderte
Kreisvereinigung
Detmold e.V.
Certificate
Mr. Mir Dr. Hafizuddin Sadri, born 07-22-1952, living in 33034 Brakel,
worked for the Lebenshilfe (Organization for the Care of Mentally
Handicapped People) Detmold e.V. from 11-01-1992 to 04-30-2002.
Dr. Sadri started 11-01-1992 as pedagogic employee in our home for
handicapped people called “Kattenmühle” in Horn-Bad Meinberg.
Since May 1993 he was head of the department Kattenmühle and
another home called “Haus Alexandra” in Horn-Bad Meinberg. Since
02-01-1999 until his leaving he was responsible in charge of the two
institutions.
The “Kattenmühle” is a home for 30 mentally handicapped people with
different degrees of their handicap. They live in four cared groups
which are structured in different ways. “Haus Alexandra” is a
home for 13 men and women who are relatively independent and need
only a little help. All occupants work in workshops for mentally
handicapped people from Monday to Friday.
At the beginning of Dr. Sadri’s activities it was urgent to develop a
plan for the two houses being in their initial stages in cooperation
with the higher administration. This plan intended the best
individual and different support and help for each person. Due to
changes in the highest head of department since February 1999 Dr.
Sadri was a member of the supervision department for seven houses
and alone responsible for the two houses mentioned above.
The great and special concern of Dr. Sadri was the care, support and help
for each man or woman as a whole. Together with the pedagogical and
nursery staff in charge he developed a plan to give help in the
section of every day life, medical care, psychological and social
care and organization of leasure time and holiday to fulfil the
needs of the occupants.
We mention especially the great help of dr. Sadri in developing an
computer-aided program to prepare and to calculate the duty roster
and the leisure and holiday times. This program was brought in
action in all our houses and institutions.
Dr. Sadri took part in several continuation courses to broaden his
extensive knowledges in pedagogics and psychology.
His collaboration with colleagues of the head department and the
full-time employees was determined by thinking and acting as with
equal partners. The occupants and their relatives as well as those
people who were legally looking after the mentally handicapped
people esteemed his friendly and helpful nature that was highly
distinguished itself by competence in every professional affair. His
behaviour face to superior and colleagues was always impeccable. He
always took it upon himself voluntarily to do special tasks. Every
thing he did, he did it to our complete satisfaction.
Dr. Sadri left on his own request. We do regret this and wish all the
best for his professional and personal future.
